Default 2003 ES 300 at 235,000, what next?

My 2003 es 300 is bravely past 235,000 miles but it's time to find another Lexus. I commute weekly between Cleveland and Chicago, need minimum 30 mpg, luxury comfort, safety & control in snow & ice, navigation/best sound system w/ satellite. I like the is 300 & is 350 and am wondering which year/generation best suits my needs (2007-present)? I prefer comfort, luxury and safety over an extra 10 mpg if a hybrid can't deliver those things. I really need some expert advice. What'll get me excited about a 350 mile commute twice a week? Looking for CPO with low mileage. Can you help me narrow it down?

Buying a hybrid for such long highway travel doesn't make sense because hybrids only are fuel efficient in the city. I'd suggest an 08 IS 250 AWD. My aunt has one and loves it. Has great control, small engine for good mpg, and of course the Lex luxury. Depends on what you like though.

That's not the case.

They are efficient at both highway driving and city driving. (what I think you were getting at..>)The electric motors help out at highway speeds too, not just city.

For comfort, luxury and safety, I suggest against an IS. Its more sport oriented than a comfy highway cruiser. You need another ES or an LS
