Es300 for winter
As some of you may know, I have a strong, some may even call unhealthy attachment to the 3rd gen es300, specifically the one I sold about 2 years ago. Despite already having an es330 (which I feel indifferent about to be honest and is now being driven almost exclusively by my brother) and a gs300 I still want an es300. I found a 2000 with 162k miles for $2900. It's only had two owners and has been well maintained, with two minor spots of rust above the rear wheel wells (I'm used to it I guess). I was considering picking it up for a car in the winter and maybe even reselling it in the spring or summer just so I don't have to use the GS in the winter. I'm looking at it Saturday, but considering an offer of $2250 (if he doesn't bite, well I don't really need another car). Does anyone have an input on the price, or whether or not I am crazy for wanting another es300? Also, my ES was pretty trouble free, but is that the case for all of them? The one I'm looking at based on the records has been taken care of and the timing belt changed at 93k miles, front struts, alternator, plugs, and valve cover gaskets and drive belts last summer, and all fluids have been flushed within the past 10k miles. Any input would be great.
