New Brake light switch, still no lights...

So after doing some research, I went to the part store and picked up a new switch. I installed it and the warning light is still on. I checked the fuse, bulbs too and still cant get the brake lights to work. Any suggestions?

The wire that runs along the trunk lid hinge most likely needs to be replaced. Same thing happened to me with brake lights, reverse lights, and license plate lights. Ipaid only $50 to have it fixed at a local garage
