Exclamation why am i over heating?

i bought a 96 lexus es300 about a week and a half ago, when i got it the guys brought it to me and drove it about 40 miles. now after ive put about 150 miles on it, it starts to over heat. its not low on fuids or leaking, whats happening is air or just really hot steam is blowing into the resivair that holds the extra coolant. and its making it steam out and the temp keeps raising. im not sure but a few people told me to take out the thermostat but i cant even find where its at. its a 96 lexus es300 with the Camry v6 3000 four cam 24 valve motor. Any help is appreciated

Here is a Youtube video on Toyota/Lexus V6 thermostat change.
Are your radiator fans running?

Start with the normal things.

Do a radiator service and replace the thermostat. If you don't know how, have a pro do it. Change the hoses while you are at it and inspect the actual radiator for any issues.

Use the Lexus/Toyota fluids. Do NOT use those leak stoppers

And most of all, get on this issue before you lose a head gasket. That will really cost you. I speak from experience.

Good luck.
