Default Loose and movable steering

So I have a 99 ES 300. Great little car. 250000 miles. The steering is a lot looser than usual. Are there common culprits with this issue?
Thanks

So another symptom.
Aside from the steering being all over and loose, when I brake on the freeway, the loose road light comes on as if there was ice on the ground and the tires didn't have traction.
Any Ideas?!

Are all your tires and wheels the same size? Breaks working properly, and no wheel binds, or drags?

Also check all of your wheel lugs to make sure that they are all secure.
