Will these fit?

I want to know if they will fit on my 97 es300 without rubbing. I bought 17 inch is300 wheels before and had to take them off because I smelt burning Rubber from the rear. I like these Rx wheels because they are only 16s

well, .. what offset does the car have from factory ?
google says ... https://www.google.co.nz/search?q=97...sm=93&ie=UTF-8
97 stock 15'' wheels were a 45 offset <-- seemes legit (ish)

also, ..

so, yeah those wheels might well fit a 7mm difference in offset is nothing when the wheels are .5 of an inch less wide, but the tyres look to be too tall for a ES model. Those tyres will totally rub ..
