Be sure to us know if the engine hits it when you shift into reverse. That's been a common problem with strut bars on the 92-96, due to the way the engine mounts are designed. But if it works, I'll be the next in line to buy one.

I bought my strut bar about 2 weeks ago from Ebay for 11.99 +s&H for a total of $24. installed it and it feels great. There is no clearance problems at all. About an Inch of clearance between the plenum and the bar. It does rub up against the foam of the hood a little bit but thats all. I will take some pics and post when i get the chance.

haha it's alright, seattle. strut bar's also come in different qualities. it'd depend on what your strut bar and invisibleman's strut bar's are made of. i was looking at the one on ebay. the bar was round... so i looked elsewhere in hopes of a flat middle bar. haven't found one yet. but still lookin...

just curious, i'm wondering if we are all buying from the same guy. I'll start off by saying that the guy i bought my bar from lives in southern california, monterey park. too bad i forgot his ebay user ID (although i could dig it up).

DIY....takes about 15-20 minutes. Just park the car on level ground, remove the 3 nuts on each strut, place the STB, and replace the nuts. Some people use a torque wrench to tighten them, but I just tightened until I felt satisfied.
