Default Hit 222,222 miles mark !

As most of you know, I am the original owner of this car. Today I hit 222,222 miles mark and took some pictures.......

Besides regular oil changes, no repair was done on the car between 200 -222k (you may find my 200k posting in this forum). Planning to do spark plugs at 240k.

Happy Easter to everyone.

Thanks for those compliments. Question - how long these vehicles will last?. This car is my daily driver to work (80 miles). What could go wrong first - engine or transmission?.

Any automatic transmission is always likely to go first.

My uncle has a 99' RX300 AWD he's well past 400k miles on his original engine and transmission. It has the exact same drivetrain as this ES300, but is heavier and AWD. So I'd expect the ES to at least mirror those results, given it's maintained and not abused.

Looks like it has much less than half of that... I'm surprised its that clean for an NJ car... unless its garaged in the winter? Or frequent washes?

I haven't seen a sunroof-less car in a long time! Definitely 'rare'.

I have to say, that pinstripe.... looks good! I hate these things with a passion but on the white with the BP emblems it adds a touch of class.

Looks really really clean, something I would like my own car to look like. Where in Jersey are you? Don't have to be too specific, I'm in Bergen County.

I moved to NJ 3 years back, till then I was in TX. Car is always garage kept and I regularly wash and wax. Even though I had been using Zaino since 1999, since moving to NJ I couldn't get that shipped - have to drive to 'dealer/agent' to pick them. So started exploring other options. Latest is 'Liquid Glass'. Easy to apply and gives mirror / wet look better than Zaino. Only time will tell me how long it would last. However, I couldn't find 'replacement' for Zaino's leather cleaner. It gives such a nice new car like smell.

This car does come with sun/moon roof. The third picture shows half of sun/moon roof and other half of top hood. Luckily just before this harsh winter started, I applied 3M undercoat (
 link link
) to undercarriage - its still holding up.

Something I followed and believe in them ; always uses Toyota parts / fluids, always uses Toyota/Lexus or Goodyears auto stores for any work. I buy parts at Sewell or Amazon and take with me. Frequently uses Seaform / Techron as fuel additive. Also a firm believer is top tier gas ( link ), worked in oil/gas industry and know what goes in with those mom and pop gas stations.

MrBooby, I sent you a PM, I am in Somerset county and work in Bergen. Lets plan on a meeting if your time permits.

This car is in incredible shape, way cleaner than my ES300 was when i got rid of it around the same mileage and I was relentless when it came to keeping the car clean.

Interior definitely is just as pristine looking as the outside. Your leather seats even look better than mine and my 2003 ES only has 53k miles on it.
