I was wondering how easy it was to upgrade the pre-facelift 2003 es300 to the face lifted 2005/6 es330. my main interests were the head lights and tail lights. does anyone know if this is just a straight swap?

I'm doing an upgrade to projectors soon. Do you have an HID equipped model? The ballast is the same for the reflector (D2R) and projector (D2s) units, so you would just need D2S bulbs and the new headlight housings. Someone here (megafast13) has done the swap. As far as halogen models, the 02-04 and 05-06 use different bulbs (h7 and h11). Megafast actually had a halogen ES, I believe, and used an aftermarket HID kit.

Taillights are an easy swap. A company called Eagle Eyes made LED taillights, which is one of my favorite mods. Check this thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/es3...-lexlutha.html
though they may be hard/impossible to find now. The 05-06 style are definitely an improvement, though you might have to buy them one at a time on eBay unless you can find a whole set somewhere.

Physically they'll swap right out but the electrical connections will have to be repinned.

If your going to do the swap might as well go with the HID projectors.

As for the tail lights I recall you'd need to change the harness.

I guess the OEM 05-06 lights are different, because my LED lights are listed as compatible with 02-06 models and installed without any wiring changes.
