Default New Lexhead

I've been visiting the Clublexus forum for a while a now and so I just recently decided to join. Here's my old Lady a 2001 ES300 bone stock. It has 116K but drives like new. I've had her for three years now and minus a few age related repairs, she has been bulletproof. This is my first Lex but it won't be my last. I'm looking forward to being a part of the Club!

2001 ES300

Purchased at 81K
Currently @ 116K
No Mods
Regular Maintenance
Tranny Rebuild @ about 110K

I still miss my old es, even with a newer one and a gs, I'll always have a soft spot for these.

Welcome Alex. Nice looking ES you have there. What led to the tranny build at such an early mileage? I know the U140E tranny has more issues than the A541E, but it's still a pretty reliable transmission.

Gtstcactus, I agree, the rims look good. I think they are stock 16s?

I appreciate it. Yep they are the stock 16's. I was told a front pump failure caused my transmission to fail at such low miles. The car would whine on acceleration and start ups and it got progressively worse until it started slipping. The Lexus shop that I had it rebuilt at said the planetary gears were worn out was well. The shop owner said it was rare to see these trannies fail at low miles and it was probably because of a lack of fluid changes. I bought the car as a one owner from an older couple so that might have been the case.

Oh man, I just bought mine last month, and changed the tranny fluid and it didn't look good at all. Shifts a lot better with the new fluid, but still worries me. Best of luck with the car Alex.
