Mine are on the front two bolts like they were when I bought the car at 38k miles. The previous owner wouldn't have done any maintenance themselves and the car was babied at the dealership so I can only imagine thats what it was like from the factory. I'll take a look later today through the Repair Manual to see if I can find the answer.

Not sure if this is year specific, but according to the repair manual, the strut bar sits on the front and middle bolt.

What other information would you like? I asked three Toyota techs and one Lexus tech, they've all pretty much agreed that they have seen it both ways, and that there isn't really a wrong way.

Thanks for all your help greatly appreciated. I switched to the front 2 bolts and noticed the steering a lot tighter.
