'97 ES300 misfire codes need some Guidance please!
Hi -
I am new to the forum and having some ES300 trouble. The check engine light on the ’97 lexus es300 came on and I got codes p0300, p0301, p0303 and p0305. What do i do? i am pretty sure it needs new plugs, but does it need new ignition coils? the car has 175k miles on it.
what do you all recommend, what would you do if it was your car. if it needs new coils where are the place and price to get new ones (not from lexus, that i know :-) ) I live in Oswego IL,
many thanks,
chester

It may not be a coil or a plug. The codes suggest you have an entire bank misfiring, and not just one cylinder. It would be a good idea to take the car in for a diagnosis before you spend unnecessary funds replacing parts that aren't needed.
One thing to check for might be oil leaking past the spark plug tube seals.
Once you know what is needed, feel free to get in touch with us for a discounted price on parts.
