Post Loose seat in 2000 ES300

I own a 2000 ES300 and the seat is rather loose. What I mean by this is that whenever I accelerate, the seat moves back a little and eventually settles. And whenever I sit down in it it sinks a little. It's almost as if there's a loose bolt or screw or something but I haven't been able to pinpoint anything out of the ordinary. Does anyone know of this issue or have suggestions on ways to tighten the seat in place?

Mine does something similar. It's been doing it on an off ever since I bought it about 4 years ago. All the bolts holding the seat to the floor are tight. There seems to be something loose, but I too never figured out what it is.

I got used to it, as it's only doing it occasiolnaly, it does not matter what poition the seat is in. It has not gotten any worse over the years, but one day, I'll have a closer look, to see if I can figure it out without taking the seat apart.

So far I can easily live with this.

Phil

Same here. I have assumed it is the 'gearing' in the motors themselves. Perhaps one of the teeth that hold the two halves have sheered off with time, and pushing against the lumbar/lower half?

It seems to make sense that its related to that alone, since the frame is tightly planted to the floor.

I thought of that to, that's why I had experimented with numerous different seat positions, but it always comes back occasionally.

Had it been a gear tooth, it should have bypassed that tooth when I changed seat positions, so it's got to be something else.

But as I said, it only happends occasionally, so I can live with that for now, but at some point I'm sure my curiosity will get me.
