So I was trying to get out one of my screws in the rear license plate out and it broke the tip of the screw off so all that is left is a flat piece of metal. I know that i could use a drill to screw it out or take it to a mechanic, but is there an easier way to solve this? I just want to know because I don't want to break anything or pay the mechanic to fix it. It's a 2000 Lexus ES300.

If you're careful, than drilling it out is your best option. Should be straight forward.

Next time use either, stainless still or Plastic screws

Drill a small hole in the screw, spray some penetrating lubricant and let it soak a while, then use a screw extractor to back it out.
