Cool Clunking sound in left and right front tires?

I used to drive around my dad's 2000 Lexus ES300 and it made this clunking sound near the front of the car. He eventually sold the car and now iv'e bought my own 2000 ES300 and it makes the same noise. I'm not very concerned about it since it seems to be harmless, it's just rather annoying unless I'm listening to music and can't hear it. It's coming from both the front left, and front right tires it seems and I can hear it most of the time even on generally smooth roads. I'm just curious if anyone else has heard of this or knows what it is.

Ball joints or CV joints? Definitely suspension related.

Not necessarily. Could also be Exhaust related.

That's a lot of possibilities, but my question is, is it worth taking in to get checked out?

yeah def get it checked out. Common problems in these cars up front, is the sway bar end-links can wear out and clunk, the stock strut mounts were known to clunk if they are the original pre 2001 parts.
