Default Hose Replacement on 2006 Lexus ES 330

Hi- After many great years of having my 2006 Lexus ES 330 with 80,000 miles on it, things are starting to have to be replaced. No biggie, but I'm done with shelling out to the dealer or local repair mechanic for things that I could do.

So, first thing up, hose replacement and radiator drain. I was quoted $350 for this. The quote was generic in detail with the hose replacement. So other than the upper and lower radiator hose, what other hoses should be replaced?

All hoses are original and car has been in the desert southwest. I did inspect the upper radiator hose, no visible cracks yet, but want to get ahead of it,

Thanks in advance for letting me know what other hoses that should be replaced.

Replace them all and do a drain and fill. Should be fine. Be sure to use Lexus fluids and hoses. Why not?

This is a DIY.

Wait until you do the timing belt, since you have to drain the coolant anyway.

But I still see no reason to just replace the hoses "because". Mine still look brand new at 100K, and my car spent the first 5 years of it's life in Houston TX.

I actually just avoided some trouble with my radiator hose yesterday. As I was filling up and ready to take a 150 mile trip, I did the usual check under the hood and saw quite a bit of coolant dripping from where my upper hose meets the radiator. First thought was "oh crap, I have a cracked hose", but it turned out the clamp was just loose. Tightened the clamp and no leak 150 miles later.

So even if you're not replacing the hoses just yet it might be a good idea to make sure they're all tightly clamped.

No hoses need to be replaced. We have 180K miles on our 96es300 with original hoses. I did have to replace a leaking radiator and hose clamp. Simply inspect your hoses as was mentioned above, check for leaks, cracks, soft spots.
