Thumbs up Alternator adapter rewiring ?

I am purchasing either a Toyota Highlander alternator (2005-06), or a Toyota Sienna alternator (cant remember what year but it puts out a whopping 150amp!)...THEY BOTH WILL BE EXACT FIT/DAMN CLOSE ENOUGH for my car.

Anyways, I am putting one of the above alternators in my 97 Lexus ES300....the connector types on the above two alternators are the same....but not the same as my lexus es300. Do you know of any way to connect my rectangle shaped connector to one of the above square connectors ? I do not care if it looks straight up boot legged....my hood will always be shut anyways. haha. I am normally very good with electronics and wiring. I need one of the above alternators because I am getting A LOT of dimming of my headlights, when I even brake for God's sake ! and also when I open/close my windows. I have a decent audio setup in the car and have already installed a BIG 3 UPGRADE but that didnt do ANYTHING.

Any tips ?

I remember reading several posts here about the same problem that you have, and many have resorted to changing to a larger capacity Alternator. If I remember correctly, this however did not resolve the problem.

So before you change your alternator, do a search. You'll get a better idea as to the real cause of the dimming problem is.

Ehh even if just a very miniscule percentage of dimming is fixed I will be happy, I already have done the BIG 3 UPGRADE so I know for a fact that my new wires (0 gauge) can handle the extra current.

I mainly also need to upgrade to a higher amp alternator because of my car audio add ons !
