USB/Aux/Android option ??
Hi All,
I am interested ditching my CD and adding something like Grom on my 1997 ES300 with factory audio system. I have done one on my 2005 LS430 (and I absolutely love it) but is there anyone out there who has done this for the ES? I cannot find any Grom option on their website for ealier ES.
I have read some doing it with AUX only with hard-wiring but I prefer to do it with ready-made of some sort.
Any input is appreciated.
1997 ES300, 260k.
2005 LS430, 35k.
2003 RX300, 160k.
2012 Tpyota PriusV, 35k

better off getting a new deck. And unlike all the other models, the ES does not require some additional module to make it work [other than a ground loop isolator, if necessary].
I got a kickass Kenwood off ebay for 100$ shipped, it was a deal and a nice find, but even still some refurb decks with all the above & bluetooth can be had for well under 150$
The faceplate by metra was a whole 30$ with amp integration harness.
Not to mention this is well under half the cost of one of those overpriced Grom units...
