Hi. I own a 98 ES300 with 171,000 miles. I recently did an oil change about 3 weeks ago and I noticed that there is a ticking noise coming from the engine sounds like a vibrating noise, sometimes it goes away and then it comes back. But the noise doesnt stick around long it goes away and comes back. I was told my oil was low and put 1.5 quarts and when I started it went away but came back in a matter of 1 hour. Would like to know if this should be a major engine concern?

No check engine or oil light came on. I was told it by autozone that it could be my lifter but would like to know if this is a common job for ES300?
