My 04 ES 330 has had transmission issues for a while now, and I just wanna fix it. It hard shifts and slips sometimes. I've been changing the trans fluid once a year in hopes to correct the issues, but it hasn't gotten much better.

I've had experience with replacing solenoids in transmissions. Are the solenoids easy to get to, or requires dropping the trans? Also, anyone know if they make a kit to replace all the solenoids? Possibly part numbers?

It's got 130k miles and just want to fix it. No check engine light though.

Good luck, better off sending for a rebuild. My 2001 was going to cost around 1500$ for solenoids alone. Each ranging from 200-400$ and not guaranteed to fix it.

The RX had a reflash software available for the transmissions, was the ES part of that group? Call the dealer, I had it done on an RX and it fixes the shift points vs. what it had when it was new.

That's interesting, would the reflash be free at the dealer? I'll call my local dealer and see what they say.

I guess as far as changing solenoids go, I'll just continue to change the fluid and drive it. There's no check engine light. I guess if it gets that bad then I'll do something drastic.
