ES300 idle problem re-surfaced after major idle valve cleanup
I have ES300-96'. I thoroughly cleaned the idle air control valve and air intake throttle, idle problem gone, but 2k miles later, low-to-no idle problem re-surfaced when I start the engile. What else could cause it that I haven't looked at?
Thanks

Thanks for the inputs.
I do have Actron scanner but it does not scan for error code on this idle problem.
2k miles ago, I had the same idle problem (when start engine, idle is so low I have to give gas to run). I opened up the IACV assembly, thoroughly cleaned it (and also cleand the air throttle assembly). It fixed the idle problem. But 2k miles later, idle problem re-surfaced. I don't expect the IACV go dirty just in 2k miles, and cannot find out why problem re-surfaced.
I just checked the engine coolant temperature sensor - it is fine, so this idle isn't coming from that.
I am helpless to find out why this happens again.
