Default door clip p/n's and 96 door panel removal DIY?

The two passenger side doors on my daughters '96 es300 have stopped opening from the outside. I've done a fair amount of searching and as I suspect, I believe it is a plastic clip that's broken. Could someone pass along the part #'s for these clips (or a link to parts diagrams with the #'s)?

Also, I've found quote a few diy's to remove the door panels, but nothing specific to a '96 es300. Does a detail on the screws/clips for the '96 exist on this forum (or anywhere else)?

Thanks a bunch!!!

I couldn't find a diagram but the part# is 69293-12050, I think its the same for the rear but you should double check when you order it. I didnt see any DIY for the ES but there is one for the SC, not the same but you can see how the clip is connected and get an idea of how to replace it.

Thanks Kusay. My local Toyota dealer had some in stock. Same clip for front and rear doors of the same side (i.e. different clips for RH and LH sides, but then the same clip for the f & r of that side).

My camera batteries weren't charged or I would have taken some pictures. The door panel has 4 clips along the bottom and 2 clips on the front of the door. There is also a screw on the front of the door panel as well as in the arm rest. There are two clips on the rear of the door panel but they come out towards the rear. These two you want to use a small screw driver to pull the 'inner' part of the clip out first, then remove the rest. Lift the panel up and to the rear to take off, and remove the 3 connectors (2 for the switches and one for the light) to separate the door panel from the door.

The clip is a pain to get to. The upper part of the rear door seal (front door) comes off to give you a little more access. Put the clip into the door handle first, then insert the rod, then lock the clip on the rod.

Hope that helps someone in the future...

Funny, I actually got around to trying to fix this yesterday, I got the door panel off but I couldn't figure out how to reach the clip, I was trying to get to it from the bottom of the door, sounds like you went from the top. Did you have the window down or up when you did this?

I had the window up all the way. There's a metal plate (4 bolts) attached to the door frame I had to take off too. With that off there was enough room to get a hand in there. I went in from the middle and used a needle nose plier to help with things.

Default door locks

Sounds like a common problem on 96 ES 300... My dRivers door is permanently locked. Have to climb over and open it from another door. When I get out and shut the door I can hear something jangling inside so will attempt to take off panel and see if it's the clip .
