Default 98 Es300's doors don't close how they should

Hi everybody, I just recently bought a 98 Lexus Es300 that was supposedly garage kept and very well maintained by an elderly gentleman. The car has only 82,000 miles on it but ever since I got it, I've noticed that the two front doors don't seem to close correctly. What I mean by that is whenever I get out of the car and shut the door, it doesn't have that assuring click noise that tells you that the door's latch is in fact engaged and the door is shut all the way. With that being said, the door does seem close all the way and sits flush with the rest of the car and doesn't swing open on its own, etc. So my initial thought is that maybe the latches are worn out? Maybe they need to be adjusted some how? I'm not really sure, maybe you could help. Thanks

A video recording would help a lot, but I think the biggest problem comes from the frameless windows.

Okay today I was toying with the door, shutting it and opening it and it turns out that if the window is down or even cracked just half an inch, the door shuts how it should and you can hear the click. So it appears that the very top of the window when rolled up, is interfering with how the door closes and I guess doesn't let it shut all the way even if you slam it.

So for now I guess I'll crack the window in order to close the door all the way and roll it back up once the door is closed correctly. Any ideas on how to fix the new issue?

It's probably not the fact that the windows when closed interfere with the door closing, but rather the fact that when the windows are up, there is no quick exit for the air pressure to escape, making the doors harder to close. This is normal.

Bet you that if you leave the sunroof slightly open, and the windows closed, your doors will be easier to close. Try it.
