for a start im new here and I saw a few other threads but some answers seem to be for a other models than I have so I don't know if its just year related.

I have a blinking a/c light issue with my 1998 ES300 with about 189K miles any advice or help is appreciated?

Without proper diagnosis, it's pure guess work, but I would venture to guess that you could be low on refrigerant. Probably due to a leak somewhere.

Have the pressures checked by a qualified shop.

There could be many other reasons for the blinking, but start with the above.

Have you seen this thread? AC light blinking and AC not working...... It's for the 02-04 ES300 and ES330's, but a person reported in the thread with model year near yours (1996) and this fix worked for them. Worth a try, it's quick and easy to troubleshoot.

Oh and welcome to the forum from another newbie!

i replaced relay on the 4th gen ES and the light went away / A/C started working. Relay was 10$ from Adavced auto parts. Worth trying! Search this forum for part#.
