Default Water Injection for the 1MZ

Hi all I am new here but i do have an idea about water injection for the ES300 1MZ. I know that unless you can re-map the fuel water injection would be useless. So what if you install it in the air filter compartment. I think a K&N filter would be necessary but the goal is still the same. To cool the intake charge and reduce knock. In the air box would do both and since the MAF would still be in the loop the fuel mapping problem would fix itself. I know it would not give as much improvement as TBI water injection but it would be cheaper as the water vapor will not really have to be measured as critically.

What are some thoughts on the subject? I will be happy to try it but I would like some input before I do.

sorry to break it to ya, completely and utterly useless on a non-boosted car.

What I forgot to also say was that when running TORQUE on my phone I noticed that my intake temp was 145 f but it was only 80 out. so what I am trying to do is create a true cold air intake without bolting one on.
