How about a light grey and not black? I think these rims should be blasted and powder coated to get a real good finish. I have two 04 es 330 cars. These rims are stupid in price to replace. I'm interested if anyone has good luck with a do it yourself coating for these rims just to save money. I have a co-worker who has a 93 gs 400 and his stock rims are black, look pretty good, I will ask him what he did to his rims.

I was actually leaning towards the gunmetal grey. Like the anthracite plasti-dip. My car is sort of a handmedown (not really ashamed of owning) and has a few scratches from my family's past owner so i dont wanna waste money on powdercoat. I'm debating whether to do either the flat black or the anthracite (have to order online).

Can always post a pic of your car in the Photoshop section and Seize will black out your own wheels to see how it'd look. Can't go wrong with Plastidip since it can be temporary if you don't like it.

please don't tell me you intend on painting your stock wheels?

Anything 'stock' just painted doesn't qualify as a 'mod' and always looks like *** on these cars. Countless people have done this tasteless 'mod' on these forums, just do a search and you're bound to find those pics...

already going to paint and im doing it by scratch. My rim right now are scratched up bad and i'd surfacing it and repainting them. And sadly i've tried and no results. For 4es owners, when i look for es i only find the early es or other lexus. Im going with a darker shade of grade.

Correct... It might look ok (from a distance)for a while but then the elements will affect the finish. You're actually better off plastidipping them as the plastidip will fill in some of the scratches.

Default Same.

Any progress booey23? I have the same car, and have been considering the same mod for my white ES330. Still couldn't find any pics of this for 330's (or '04 300's). Which rims do you have? I have the 17" 6 spoke ones.

I have the same rims as you, but as for painting rims I didn't do it. Although i thought of making my rims chrome, but no clue how to do it. But might not do that as well because i am saving my money on another lexus.
