00-01 climate control on 98 es300?
some lights on my 98 es300 climate control unit are fuse. I was thinking of buying another one. I saw some 00-01 (with wood trim) on ebay and wanted to by one of those. I know that the 00-01 wood radios don't plug in to the 98 es300 but wil the 00-01 climate control work? Thanks

No need to buy a new unit, the climate control bulbs are easily replaceable. Check out the guide linked at the end of this post for more information. They simply twist into place, once you remove the radio from the dash.
The brown bulbs are used for all the buttons in the climate control. The black bulbs are for the LCD backlighting.
