So it's that time again to do a drain and fill on the transmission.

I can't recall exactly what I did last time, but I remember the Lexus dealer wanting to charge me something like $10 for a simple crush washer.

Needless to say I hope I don't have to do that again and was wondering if there is a certain part # or brand name at autozone or advance auto parts for the correct size crush washer that I can look up.

If my memory is correct, I'll be using the Felpro nylon washer for the engine oil drain plug (part# 70822), however I'm not sure if this will work with the transmission drain plug being that it could be a different size.

Any help would be appreciated!

Also, I'll most likely be using the Valvoline MaxLife Dex III transmission fluid. Is there anything that has popped up recently that people really like or has proven to be better?

Check your owner's manual before purchasing fluid, to make sure you get the correct type.

Unfortunately after my move, there are no dealers within 50 miles of me so I was hoping for another option

I believe rockauto has 10 for $5.70 + shipping, so that might be the solution. Autozone and AAP didn't know what I was talking about.
