whining noise from diver side of the car.
About a month ago i notice a whining noise coming from the diver side of the car. I took the car to the shop and they said that the noise was coming from the torque converter, so i had the transmission rebuilt, the car is still making the whining noise after the rebuild of the transmission, i also had the starter replaced as well. what else could be causing the the whining noise. The noise is coming from around the starter and transmission. The car is a 2001 Lexus es300
Thanks for your help.

whining noise
my es300 makes the same whining noise. mostly at low speed or idling. it sounds awful. i read a similar thread and ppl were saying transmission problems. I once had a chevy that made a similar sound and ithe problem was the power steering pump fluid was low. i checked all the fluids, im no mechanic, i hope the transmission is ok
