Yesterday the trunk of my 2004 ES330 became very difficult to shut.
It will open fine with the key fob or the button on console but when I try to
shut it, it just stays open.

I have been able to shut it by slamming it (and when I say that I'm a pretty good
sized guy and I am coming down with some weight behind it.

Has anyone else had this issue and what was the solution? While the car is several
years old, and has just over 200K miles, I have never used the trunk excessively.
A couple times a month if that and sometimes went a few months between using it,
so it should not be wear and tear.

Any help or advice greatly appreciated.
