Default Buying an 05 ES330 but...

I am possibly going to be buying a 2005 ES330 with 54000 miles as a daily driver. There is one thing that concerns me though. The passenger side front airbag cover on the dash looks warped. Dealer, carfax, and autocheck all say there have been no accidents. Should I be concerned or is this something that could be caused by sun damage or something?

That is normal, if you do a search on here you will find that is a common problem.

I was also concerned with that when I bought my 2005. Not only was it warped, but it looked as if someone gorilla glued it back on. Apparaently this I'd a common problem. Just lube it up with armorall and it should protect it from any further damage.

How much are they asking for the vehicle, if you don't mind me asking. 54000mi is an attractive number

Thanks! I'm glad to hear its a common problem. Had anyone had this piece replaced and how much did it cost?

They are asking $13900 for the car.

I'm not sure if you can replace them, I think they're the whole dashboard and hatch are one assembly.

And that's a sweet deal considering it being a florida car with such low miles.

In mass, they're asking $14,500 for one with 90K and it's only a 2004.

congratulations on your new purchase.

I'd just tint the windows, or use one of those sun blockers that go in the windshield.
