No they aren't the same. It depends on where you're going to mount it, but I know the trunk usually has an indentation for the L badge. So if you decide to replace it, the new badge has to have the same overall dimensions. The front is a different story, because it just sits on top of the hood.
p.s.: Wow that's a lot of money for a piece of plastic (?).
