Thanks fellas,
Heck at $150 per seating area for real leather upholstery, I think that is not bad and I can live with some imperfections and design issues ( no double stitch, but I think they can do it if asked )
Fronts before:
after:
Still need to steam tho, lucky rips were on the original skin pre-foam padding, the oem seat foam was intact.
Side effects, FIRMER SEATS

How would describe the leather quality, is it harder than stock? Could you post a "macro" (closeup) shot of the leather, it would help to get an idea of what the texture is like.
p.s.: This is an awesome solution for rough cars that need TLC. I always thought that the only way to repair the seats was to replace them with a junk yard find.

Quality: More Plush and Napa Leather Like, very SOFT with the customary leather grain. The DYE is thru and thru, not only the outer layer, found this to be very important when I was doing research on the Porsche seats.
Vinyl matches perfectly, even the sheen, it is mat finish like the leather
Yeah, I was going to find it in the junk yard but due to age, the leather would most likely crack again. What I discovered is OEM has pre-padding under the leather. that means the seat foam should be intact.

12-15 hours tops. both front seats took 3.5-4 hours each.

These save my hands, using nitrile gloves are futile.
The trick is rubberized gloves and professional grade harden tipped cutters, twisting the hog rings off, cutting them is a nightmare and will take for ever.
The rears had tons of hog rings.

Haha I'm glad you were better than me at protecting your hands. I used a similar cutter but just purchased a Hogs Ring plier. Interesting tool to say the least. I'm surprised you got the normal version instead of perforated style seats. I got the perforated ones and they aren't too shabby to be honest

Yeah, learned the hard way with my Porsche Seats, my hands were ripped apart like a it went thru a meat grinder.
Lexus seats were heck of allot easier.
Perforated? Well, I was ordering from China so I did not want to make it too complicated, I may do perforated for my Mother if she wants it. One thing about perforated, you have to be very careful not to leave the steamer on it, it will shrink and harden that area the head was sitting on, Ask me how I know.
