Transaxle mount need replacing
Hey, I've done a quick search here and google and for the life of me I can't find a replacement for the transaxle mount. It's a little strut/shock attached to the transmission located next to the big front engine mount. Reference to the online manual "Automatic Transaxle:A541E (the ax2.pdf file) pg. 41at procedure step 25. Is this part Lexus dealership or is there an aftermarket? Mine is real loose, making sure the nuts are tight I can rattle it by hand and I'm sure that's not good.
I just replaced my transmission mount (the "W" looking mount) and my car's vibrations at idle and highway is almost completely gone, a big difference. Also make sure the transmission mount goes in the right way, mark the old one before removing it, the mount fits only one way on transmission.
UPDATE: nevermind, I found it's called a "mount absorber."
