Default I'm gonna miss this forum :(

I'll just be blunt with it. I'm selling the Lex.

I recently got a job as a Tool Specialist at Lowe's, and because of that I have a much higher income than I used to. And of course, the first thing I've decided to do is upgrade to a much newer and nicer car. So in about 6 months or so, I plan on selling my Lexus and using that money (plus my savings over the 6 months) to make a down payment on a 2007 BMW E90 335i sedan. That will be my clean slate so I can start fresh. I have so many plans for the Bimmer, and I will be posting pics of it occasionally as the project progresses. I will also post a few pics of my ES once I get it completely ready for the market. Here's the specs of the new car just for comparison.

engine: 3.0L Inline-Six w/ Twin Turbo
output: 302 horsepower, 295 ft/lbs torque
drive type: rear-wheel drive
transmission: 6-speed automatic w/ Steptronic
curb weight: 3593 lbs.
0-60 time: 4.8 seconds
1/4 mile time: 13.5@106

Do you really want to switch to german engineering? It may spend more time in the shop then your ES did. LOL

But, anyways congrats on the new job and hope you enjoy the new ride.

Very nice, just watch the fuel pumps. I've been looking for a new car for a few months now and test drove at least 7 different bmw's ranging from 2006 3 series to 2002 745's and while all nice, just wasn't as smooth as lexus'. Then again they are two very different brands of cars

Umm, can you be more specific in your question? The main factor that helps people decide on table saws is the price. And price, of course, is determined by a number of factors, including brand, blade size, amperage, table size and added features.

Wow after all that work we went through... i'm saddened by this ya know. I'd be very careful with BMW's. General Maintenance is not cheap. But there's no beating the speed if that N54 Twin Turbo L6. My 2 cents is Just be wary of the Turbo's cause they're known to have issues in some years. I actually think there's a recall for the motor IIRC.

I hear that properly maintained BMWs are not that bad. Every car maker has its quirks, just like our Lexii with faulty dash lights and radio displays.

^Bmw's are unreliable but the 3 series tends to be the exception to the rule, and the older 5 series before the bangle design if i remember correctly.

It depends on what you mean by unreliable - most of it is all subjective. They say the most important gasket is the one in the driver seat.

I know they may not have "Toyota reliability", but I don't plan on having the car for more than 6 or 7 years. Hopefully that won't give it time to start falling apart lol. Besides, my main reason is that I absolutely love the way BMW's look, and they balance performance and luxury perfectly. I've always wanted one ever since I was a kid. I guess it's kind of a midlife crisis at 18

A 335i at 18 is a bit scary, but considering that you're paying for it, I'm gonna guess that you're a responsible guy. Drive safe!
