garbage.
Take it to the scrapyard - there is going to be much more problems down the road.
Any Lexus has a lot of electrical in the car/engine, and if this was flooded - it won't be useful to you.
In the other thread, you're saying the leather on the wheel/shifter is ruined, that shows the car was in water for a long period of time...

Oh boy... You've posted several different threads almost at the same time and that's not recommendable. Anyway, here is the best we can do for you:
Download the 97 ES300 service manual: http://www.turboninjas.com/camry/199...ES_300_FSM.zip There are no significant differences between the '97 and '99 ES.
You have so many issues that your best option is to find a skilled, experienced and honest mechanic and take his advice. I am aware that a brand new ES350 costs 100,000 dollars in Brazil, so maybe your old flooded beater still worth repairing (but I doubt it...)
Good luck!

ouch. if its a flooded car, as in water as gotten into the electrical components, esp the computer of the car, i think the posters here are right..its probably not worth repairing and should be sold off and you should get another car.
