SUP guys new to C.L.

i have a problem, my father in-law car a 2000 es300 STOCK is not running right.

here is whats going on.

the car idle high around 2ooo rpm or close to it.
when driving the car the car feel like the car is not getting enough gas or something bc its feel like dying when stepping on the gas.
the light dims back and fourth
very bad gas mileages
the headers turn bright red when leaving it on more then 5 mins
even when a cold start and you just turn it on for like 1 min and the headers get REALLY HOT cant even touch it. where i can touch the motor.
i smell gas
smoke from the muffler doesn't feel like a nice even flow. when i felt the smoke the smoke hit my hand like ( exp clapping your hands not a nice flow.) hopefully you guys understand that.
OBD2 reader reads multiple misfire FOR GOT the code bc i re set the code and i forgot to write it down.

what i done to the car already.

change the spark plugs all 6
change the coil pack all 6
check the cat and looks clean and clear can still see the honey cone
no fuel leak that i know of

If the headers are turning bright red as you say, their clogged. replace them.

If the CAT is clogged it will cause the headers to get hot and red. Also turs red if timing is way off. If you getting mis-fires your timing is off for one reason or another. Need to pull the codes.

You also said you smelled gas which a rich condition could cause the red hot headers.

You attacking this problem from the wrong angle. Instead of replacing parts, you should be diagnosing the OBD codes and going from there. You're most like running rich due to a bad sensor input.
