Default alt charging voltage

Anyone know what voltage the alternator charges at and if there is a way to raise it without getting an adapter such as a MLA (missing link audio) or something else. I have a 1996 es300 by the way. I have a pretty heavy system and voltage dips, I'd like to keep it up and am trouble shooting. Any help would be awesome...thanks as always.

i have been an installer of car audio for over 2 decades,,,ive been in a couple mags and have built 2 dbdrag world champ vehicles in the past...and the singlemost important thing u can do is upgrade the chargeback wire from the alt to the batt. with at least a 4 ga. wire and to put the biggest batt u can fit in there...stinger makes a good 2000 amp batt. just for this....the alt should charge around 13.8 and after the chargeback upgrade should be in the neighborhood of 14.4...theres some mods u can do to the voltage regulator but i wouldnt recommend any higher than 14.4 14.6...around 15 volts the ecu starts going into protection...i had a 96 camry with over 20.000 watts and had to put 4 xtra batts in the trunk to keep from dimming but for the average system (2000 watts or less) these upgrades ive just discussed will do the trick for you....
hope i have helped you out.........

cheers
