**97** es300 dash cluster stuck screws
I went to change out my lights to LED's in the instrument cluster today, and the first step is taking the plastic surrounding the cluster. Well, the two screws that are at the top (facing upside down) are impossibly stuck. I'm a college athlete, and I put every ounce of muscle into these things that I have. I used 10's of different kinds of screwdrivers, a hammer/mallet, and even one of those pieces of fabrics that are made to make opening jars easier on the screwdriver to get a better grip. NOTHING WORKS!! so frustrating, when this should be the easiest part of the whole project.
Anyone have the same problems, or know of tips so I can get these screws out.
Thanks!

Use the right screwdriver, of course, probably phillips, and a small vice grip plier clamped to the screwdriver shaft. Push hard up into the screwhead to maintain tight contact (if you haven't already stripped it) and jerk the vice grips to 'break' the screw loose. Hope this helps.

is it possible to use an impact driver? u can buy a cheap one at harbor freight. just smack the driver with a hammer and that will bust loose stubborn screw. should be a #2 phillips (it is on my 93).
if you've worked them that hard, did you strip out the screw?
