Default How Many Miles Are On Your Es300??

How many miles do you all have on your ES300. I think I may have the most with 180,000!! Orginial transmission, original engine! (How much longer do you think I have with this beloved vehicle?? )

138,500 miles. Original engine, remanufactured transmission at 115,000 miles. I had a flat and called triple a to change it because i had a messed up shoulder at the time. So the guy came but could not get the wheel lock off, said he would need to take it to the shop and use the impact gun. He towed it the wrong way and *****ed up the transmission. Just recently had valve cover gaskets and oil pan gaskets replaced because they were leaky.

92K

Gripes:

1. TOOOOOOO MUCH WIND NOISE!!!!!!!
2. Teeth of Antenna motor worn
3. Lights of some Instrument panel gauges burn out
4. RATTLE ON DASHBOARD FIXED BY INSERTING "LEXUS SALESMAN'S" BUSINESS CARD!

This car will always stay with me, either at college or at home, since it's reliability is basically bullet-proof, i plan on keeping it as long as possible even if i get new cars.

I have ca. 71,000 on my '96.

I have pretty much the same gripes as Xenon: Way too much wind noise and some burned out lamps in the instrument panel.

Sorry to keep raggin' on this, but some of the problems I'm reading about in this forum just don't seem right. A rebuilt tranny at 115k? Leaky cam cover gaskets? Based on my experience with Hondas and some other vehicles made by Toyota, the engine and transmission should go to 200k, no problem, the dash bulbs should NEVER burn out, and there should be NO wind noise!

Don't get me wrong...I love my ES, but there's a good chance my next car won't be a Lexus.

Talking Duh!

Just reread jaymode's post about the tranny. It wasn't the car's fault...it was the incompetent towing guy. Oops.

My statement about questionable quality still stands, though.

yes it was the incompetent towing guy's fault but also this new tranny sucks i have even tried to take it back but they say it is normal and needs to be broken in. It clunks when it shifts and pisses me off. But whatever i am about to get rid of it, its a 93. My sister owns a 97 and my other sister owns a 2000 platinum millium edition. the 97 has about 95000 and the 2000 has about 25000

96 es and I have 145,834 miles and some change and my car looks like new and even smells like new...all my lights work, inside and outside., no wind noise but I know its not as quiet as a new one would be. I'm the third owner of this car and I must commend the previous owners. they never smoked in this car even my ashtrays look new...as soon as I get some pics I will be posting them. I just bought the car in august...it had 143,000 and some change then..all I have done is drive it. the dealer said it might need valve cover gaskets.....imma have it done when I change the oil.

that is the best time to change the vc gaskets because it requires an oil change. Make sure you have it done by some competent people, but not lexus because they will overcharge you. I needed valve cover gaskets and oil pan gaskets changed. The only dealership close enough was two hours away and wanted about 750 when i got it done for 500. Toyota also was owned by the same people so it would not help me. Just make sure you get a warranty in case they mess up or you may regret it.

'93 ES3 with exactly 99187 miles on it... waiting to take a pic at 99999 and 100000. the cars still running great. original engine. it's been in the family since it was new... a few minor exterior accidents. hence the ghetto grille shown on a post months ago...
