Hi everyone.

i have been using gas cubby religiously to keep track of my mileage. except for a small gap of a month i have a record of all my fillups since november 23rd 2011, when i bought my es300 1997.
over its lifetime it has averages 11.2l/100km (thats canadian for 21 mpg). the best ive gotten is 26 mpg.

i havent yet cleaned the MAF , but given the age i should id ont think its ever been done on this car. that my weekend project before the winter kicks in!

also fuelly is a great idea iw ill add myself and give you my ID !

I like fuelly, been keeping track for a bit now, my mileage started off under 20 but trending upwards, over 21 now. I think that is because I have done more highway mileage recently which brings that up, I am normally lots of city type driving.

It like how it keeps you honest, I use the total mileage tracking option for ease and to be sure I account for every mile. Whereas I might be inclined to say "I get 23mpg" because I did once get 23 on a tank, Fuelly shows what I am truly getting for mileage over time.

I like that too. I've noticed that I've been driving more efficiently, since I started recording my mileage. It's almost like a game now, and it makes me want to fill up. I don't even worry about how much I'm spending on gas, I just want to see my MPG.

Nice, glad to see more people joining in. I'm a month away from having completed a full year of MPG records.

Well it's been a year since I started using Fuelly. Here are some interesting facts that I have recorded over the past 12 months.

Highest MPG: 27.5
Lowest MPG: 21.8
Average MPG: 25.2 (9.3L per 100km)
Driving Style: relaxed, mostly highway, 65mph+

Filled up 39 times* in almost exactly 12 months(off by 2 days).
Miles traveled: 13,256
Gallons consumed: 525
Total spent: $1900
Lowest price per gallon: $3.26 (regular)
Highest price per gallon: $3.96 (premium)
Best miles per fill-up: 397.1*

*I didn't record one of the fuel ups during Hurricane Sandy, which actually lasted me 400+ miles

interestingly, my average mpg (also using fuelly) is about 25 MPG..not bad considering the cars combined mpg is supposed to be 19 as per the official rating....

The bigger wheels and wider, stickier tires are keeping me away from 27mpg, which is the highest I've ever had. That's why I stopped caring and now I just drive the way I like to, which still averages out at 25.

That just means that most of your mileage hasn't been combined city/hwy. The only way to average 25 in an ES300 is to drive mostly highway.

I find I get about 20 overall driving mostly city, maybe by mileage I'm half highway. Best tank is 23 for me, I drive consistently 80 on the highway though, sure I could do better if I slowed down.
