Broken side mirror
Hey guys, how should i go about fixing this?
Not big enough for an insurance job, and looks like i could probably DIY it.
Im thinking going to a wreckers and getting a mirror and just replacing the guts. although finding an ES300 is going to be hard :/ are the camry mirrors identical?
Story for anybody interested, got boxed in at the last second, and i hit a car parked on the side of the lane i was in. Im sure it was an accidental move by the other driver, but what can ya do eh?
The parked car had not even a dirt mark on it, so pretty happy that the damage wasnt worse.

Just the mirror glass is damaged? That snaps off you can replace just the glass (with plastic surround.) Just make sure you get the right part, heated, dimming or not. I understand the dimming mirror is big bucks but the other styles might not be too bad new, or hit the junkyards.

We got a complete pass. side mirror from a u-pick junkyard for $10. Popped the broken glass from the original mirror first-very easy to do. Popped the glass out of the junkyard mirror and placed it in the old one. Works perfect and we don't have to paint a mirror housing. Ours is garnet red and the junkyard one was silver.
