Loose wheel???

Things to check:
- damaged brake shield
- ball joint
- tie rod
- sway bar end link and bushing
- strut mount

I had loose center caps for the longest time before I realized what the sound was coming from.
Take out the center cap(s), bend the little tab things which hold the cap in place (when it's pushed into the wheel) so that there will be more tension.

If that doesn't fix it, check the list above:

Were you able to move the center cap by hand while the wheel was still on the car ?

I always check my lug nuts about a week after rotation or tire work: 80 ft lbs

Ever since I bought a torque wrench, I've been so **** about tightening the lug nuts to the right specs. I looked in the manual, and if I recall correctly, they ask for about 76ft lbs. So to make it easier to remember, I set them to 77.

Every time that I've had to work on a car that came from a mechanic, I've noticed just how much more they torque them, probably with an impact gun. At least they're nice enough not to do it on the locks. Which I think is even worse, because the whole point of using the same torque on each lug nut, is to evenly distribute the pressure of the wheel onto the brake rotors/hubs. If you do it unevenly, you're risking warping the brake rotors.
