Smooth. This place is where the car was bought years ago, and it's the new water based stuff. Just going to get it buffed all around to match the smooth rear end now

This is what I imagine will have to be done to fix my small dent above the tail light. How much did you pay for the quarter panels?

i always liked the OEM headlights with the sharp/edgy design. How much and where did you get those parking lights from.
With those clear corners i see there is extra light ( i assume for parking lights). But it wont work in North American market right? unless you connect the parking with turn signal. hmmmmm

^ it's been done, and I'm going to make it work. Might try and set it up as my DRL, and 'old' DRL as highbeam only.

Luckily, i have all the pigtails, so this should be a quick install once i get around to the lights with a little solder & heatshrink. But I'm going to have to figure something out for those corners. Keep y'all posted.

You got the HIDs nice!!

Those corners are nice, got a couple pairs in the basement ;-) I didn't really like the earlier ones but found those later JDM Windom ones look really cool. Picked them up when I got the power folding mirrors in.

The wiring should be easy from what I have figured so far...like yourself I got a pair with the pigtails, but if you didn't the plugs match other Toyota light plugs that can be scavenged from the junkyard. The USDM corner has 1 dual filament bulb, the JDM has 2 single filament bulb. There is really no difference there are 2 filaments either way. The USDM has 3 wires vs 4 total, but only because one is a common ground. Adapting to the JDM corner should just be splitting the common ground out to 2 wires. The upper white is the running light, the lower is the turn signal. Should look totally clear with a Silverstar bulb!

^ Awesome, thanks man, i was wondering how i was going to figure out the ground portion.

I wanted it as a DRL, but i think i'll wire it in as-is, and not muck my DRL's up. Maybe when i'm bored I'll play around with DRL re-assigning. For now i'm MORE than happy [yet to install] but with the purchase overall...

Got really clean JDM headlights with all pigtails/bulbs AND clear-lensed corners, not the grainy or whatever the term is ones. Will update soon-ish i hope.

Funny thing is, finally after 3years of procrastinating, not spending unecessary money, etc. i found this set. Before hand i'd miss out, or forget an 'item ending soon', seller refused to ship, etc at least 20 times on ebay - that was frustrating. Here i made an offer, got accepted and shipped over within 4days from Hong Kong

Clean Ride!

I'm interested in getting a set of Jdm headlights as well. Will you be blinding on-coming traffic with glare because these are off of a RHD car?

^ good point, but seeing how these aren't projectors, they're more giving in adjusting the one side to get it right.

The amount of JDM cars rolling around here with RHD cutoffs is plenty, and driving against them, beside them, i don't see a difference - no pun intended. Probably won't be ideal as say, a USDM HID, but as mentioned, you can't get anything worth putting on your car this side of the globe for less than 300$/side.

We'll see when we get there. And it will be better than my current HID kit in halogen's for sure.

Son of a...I wanted to be first to install them. Looks great, if I follow you the wiring was as I thought, you just needed to split the common ground?

^ Yup, spliced the grounds together, then crimped them.

It was nice that the other two wires grn/ylw & grn/orng matched up with the existing wiring on the car side - i'm speaking for what I assume can be the 'kouki' clears & the 00-01 cars [kouki]

Either way, i had it done within 10mins. Not because I rushed it, but because it was -28c outside and couldn't bare to see my poor HID's all alone without their companions.

Btw, you wouldn't have been the first... someone in '07 I think, did this and had a write up but the pics were long gone, so i hoped for the best!

Tentative pic from Japan, but basically my next 'mod', will update soon as I'm redoing the Climate controls in LED's once they come in too! Already got my pigtails and removable T-taps [might not have to use...] for the additional tail 'running lights'. I love the LS400 look which is what i've always thought the tails were missing.
