Default 05' es330...My 6-disc cd changer in middle console not working...

My 6 disc cd changer no longer working because the cd holder would no stay in. But if I force it nand hold it in place, it would read. But if it stays after forcing it, it wont be able to change cd. How do I fix this problem. Or better yet, how do I take it apart. Please help....thank you in advance...

I know I know but I know people who are lucky they managed to go on the internet today that wouldn't even think to look back a few pages and instead just ask for blatant help. Just trying to do some good. Just like you did by positing the fix mate!

no luck...but thanks PATSUM..its the same problem but different year so different location for the cd changer. Mines in the middle where you rest your arm not in the middle of the dashboard.

grumpy, i dont thin kthere is a huge difference. just get the thing out, take the top off and access CD's directly. The mechanism is the same, only location is different. arm rest is easy to remove, there are a few bolts then just pull it out. there was a pdf manual posted on this forum a while ago if you need diagram.

hold on, the cd changer on yours is like in older lexus models, when they used to have it in the trunk? there is a holder with 6 inserts for cds that slide out one by one?

Grumpy... you said you have a 2005 ES330

these do not have cd changers in the trunk to break.. they are in the center console like that video I linked to.

either you are mistakes on what car you have or need to clarify more

I thought '05 had the same design 6CD changer. So, just to clarify, yours is in the storage compartment in between front seats?

here is typical 2005 interior, it shows the same CD changer as in 2002-2004 model years...
