Default emblem craziness

Today, on my way to a sk8park in New Haven, I caught a glimpse of a GS rolling in a nice red paint job and chrome stock rims. As I drove closer, the rear emblem on his car read "300GS". Even though the numbers and letters were only flipped around, I thought it looks tight and makes the car stand out in one way from other GS'es. It also reminds me of a few times when I saw some ES'es with "300ES" emblems, in Boston and NYC. Couldn't remember what else those ES'es have running, but just wanna share this peculiarity with y'all. Anyone here have this kind of emblem pattern displayed on their ES, or thinking about it? It'd be cool to see one of those emblems in gold, or better yet, black pearl

i've seen that before on an ES and a GS. im driving and all of a sudden its like "arr?? what in the..." i dont like it much or my eyes havent gotten used to it, but i do like unique emblems. (no "type-r" stuff though). dodgers stadium sells chrome emblems that say "dodgers" and i've seen someone with florida plates on a big-a** mercedes with superman emblems. i think those are nice...well, except i wouldnt get superman

I've been meaning to ask about that. I think some of the "Platinum" package ES300s (last generation) came from the factory badged "300 ES" and not "ES300"...I've seen a few of them around. I'm nearly 100% sure that they were not customer-modified in any way. A little strange.

One thing I've noticed is body shops do a bad job with emblems. I see emblems reversed, crooked, all in the wrong places etc. Its possible that these cars had been rebadged and whoever did it just did it wrong, or to be funny.

I saw a silver 02 ES with the ES and the 300 almost at 45 degree angles to each other.

Emblems really do make a difference on a car.

I just hate it when people falsely 'step up' or 'rice' their car. (ex: Put a Type-R badge on a Civic, S600 badge on an S320, M5 badge on a 528i...etc)

What are they trying to prove? Who are they trying to make feel stupid?

True - In my mind, If you want to have the S500 / GS430 /Acura type-S. Then cough up the cash.

Other than Ebay, where can I get another set of ES Emblems ...CHEAP?

Just this morning, on my way to work, I saw a C-class benz with the badge labeled "280C". Nope, this isn't one of those "old" benz models from the late '80s; this is probably from '95 or after. The car also has AMG rims, so that's how I figured it. Anyway, this is the first time I noticed a benz with unique emblems
