hello guys

i just got some led strip and i would like to install it under the seats or under the dashboard

but im nit sure where exactly i need to connect bothe wires ( + and -) from the strip the a sensor or switch
which will

switch on the LED when door is open
switch OFF the LED when door is closed

my car: lexus es300 1997

Connect it to the courtesy lights in the door panels. On the front passenger side the wires are red (+) and red/black (-) not surer if the front drivers side is the same.

ive read some reviews on how to do it using the coutesy lights like "imherenow" reveiw thanks for it

do u think there is another way to do it like connecting wires directly to light switch or relay?

I connected mine to the wires that run from the fuse block up the A pillar to the dome light. I did it a bit complicated tought as I have the floor lighting on it's own switch ON/OFF/DOOR.
