I got the yellow symbol on the dashboard that a bulb was out. I replaced the blow bulb but I can''t get the yellow light to go out.
Any thoughts?

hmm well that means u still have one of rear lights blown out ..make sure u also check the brake lights for that u need some one to press and some one to look @ the back to make sure all lights work.
or it could be the bulb u put might be the wrong one?

You could also park in front of a large window, such as at a bank, and check all your rear lights. Right now I'm having an issue with my license plate lights, so check for those as well. It might not be an issue with the bulbs but with the connections. Good luck.

umm i have similar issue i could say, i have a yellow sign on a dashboard but my is due to the fact that im using different bulb that was originally installed in the car, i asked a mechanic it will go off if i put similar bulb as to which i originally hard, but it doesnt bother me so yeah

I replaced the blown bulb eight months ago with the identical part number that was on the blown bulb which was 194LL. The warning light would not clear and I found that another rear parking light that was blown, also so I replaced it with another 194LL. The warning light still did not clear so I replaced the good but used 194LL with another brand new 194LL and the warning light still did not clear. Finally, I consulted the owners manual and found that the correct bulb number is 2825LL. It turns out that the current draw of the OLD 194LL is just enough to equal the 2825LL but the NEW 194LL current draw was significantly lower than the correct 2825LL that it was triggering the warning lamp. So do not use 194LL for rear parking light bulb but use the 2825LL, regardless of what was in the socket for last however many years. 194LL bulbs are outdated and obsolete.

i used 7443(21/5W) for the stop lights and did both at the same time. the tail lights on the trunk lid are 168 in the owners manuel, a straight 5W

I posted this in another thread but I thought I'd share my experience as well.

I had a problem with the warning light turning on when I used my brakes at night. It had to do with the inner lamps, because I just swapped them out with a set of newer ones that I got on eBay. So after further research, I realized that all my lights were working, but the warning would still come on. I then decided to go back to my original lamps and pull out the brake bulbs, since I didn't have any issues with them before. What it turned out being in the end, is that the bulbs on my new inner lamps were a bit weak and were causing the warning to go off. As soon as I put in my old bulbs, I noticed a huge difference in light output - they were much brighter and the warning went away.

So the moral of the story is that having all your lights work doesn't always mean that they're good. If in doubt, replace everything with new bulbs, with the correct part numbers of course.

I have this same problem, I got a rear bulb light and then I repalced it with a bulk I got at Canadian Tire. The bulb works but since then the light has never come off.

Does anyone have a list of all the proper part number bulbs to replace the rear with?

I want to replace everthing, my car is an 01 with all the stock bulbs...it's time for new ones anyways...

EDIT: Inner marker light bulbs (two of them) are 00060-00192 and they are 5 watt. The reverse lights are 16 watt and they are 90981-11059. Turn signals(not 100% sure about these) 90981-13043, they are 21 watt.

Will update this once I confirm the brake light bulbs.

p.s.: keep in mind that this list only applies to the 2000-2001 model years. For example, the reverse lights on the earlier models were 21watt.

Must make sure that the bulbs are the correct number if you want the "bulb out" feature to work correctly. I normally replace them in pairs -- it is surprising how dim some will get as they age.

Also .... the brake bulbs are more than 5w -- are you speaking of the center BL. The brake lamp bulb if it is duel filament is normally 5w for the parking/running lamp and 21w for the brake light.

You are correct, I forgot that it's the license plate bulbs and the parking bulbs that are the same. The brake lights are different.

So while fixing one of my lights, I had my old brake light bulb go out on me. So I had to replace it.

The bulb reads 5w/21w. I replaced one of them last year, so I had a spare laying around. I probably should have just replaced both corners at the same time though.

My replacement bulb was a Phillips 7443 B2. I believe the factory part number is 90981-13044

p.s.: Also updated my complete bulb list with OEM part numbers.
