I like my solid color so that is what i voted. The 2 tones are really nice as well. I just like my car so that is why i voted solid.

I agree I think that it definately depends on the color of the car. Mine is black with the gunmedal color. But However, my fiance thinks that it is clean as a solid color. More like the VIP style!

You said it Ladie.. 3 letters.. V.I.P.

Here in Japan, V.I.P is what its all about!.. I am looking at repainting my ES, but I will be keeping the 2 tone.. It seperates the Toyota's and Lexus's from the rest... I say stick with it....

Although this isnt a snipe at people who have gone one tone.. Everyone that has gone one tone, have done a great job there. No probs...

Chris

In certain colors, I like the solid, but my preference would be for a 2-tone.

My wife's '94 Anniversary Edition in Pearl White/Silver is drop dead gorgeous!
With it's silver centered/chromed rim mags, it's still a looker 11 years later.

The new solid colors just don't do it for me. The way the bumper covers fit, there is not a break line to two tone them either....

Hope the '94 runs for another handful of years!

Later,
JU

Weird lol, I used to work at 303 in Arlington Heights...

Anyway I don't really like the 2-tone, but I don't think modified paint jobs (one color) look that great... they look fake imo

Cool 2-Tone

I voted 2-tone...of course, that may be because mine is a 2-tone.

I like the monotone on certain colors (black) as almost everyone has mentioned. I think Gato's looks sick (his was the first one i've seen done right) but its amost becoming a fad IMO. More and more people are talking about it but I have yet to see one on the street. I would do it to mine if i ever decided to put a kit on it and lower it with like 18-19's. BTW I voted 2-tone.

I think solid looks a lot better on the colors mentioned... but two tone looks fine on my silver car, I couldn't waste all the time and money painting it. However, I would love to paint the entire car black if I ever get hit and insurance covers most of it.

It's a tough choice, but like others have said, I must say that monotone looks impressive on dark-colored ES. This morning, on my way to school, I saw a '92-'94 black ES with the monotone paint job and 18 or 19" chromies, and DROPPED too! I liked how the rear looked with the original Lexus and ES300 badges in their original locations, and the car looked so nice, I should've brought my camera for one of those moments!

As far as 2-tone, the best looking one so far has to be factory white/grey 2000-2001 ES300. Pure class right there, especially with the cleared tailights

I like both. Depends on the color. But I prefer single tone.
