Winter/Snow tires are not just for snow. They provide the best traction at lower temperatures, so it's recommended to switch to a winter compound at or below 50F

Found my old car I sold 2 years ago on Craigslist, it must have about 260k on it by now. It ended up in the kind of neighborhood I was expecting it to. Shame

Recently got a new alternator to handle the new stereo system. Didn't want to buy a high dollar one from somewhere, so I did some research. Turns out an 01 Toyota Highlander has the same engine as the 3rd gen es300. I am now running an 130 amp alternator over the stock 80

Actually yes very into photography, but I never think anything turns out well. It was just a spur of the moment so these, believe it or not were taken on my iPhone 6. I'd really like to get into it some more, just don't know where to start.

I live in Canada. I woke up to our first snowfall on Saturday morning. Tired of not being able to drive this car in the rain for the past month due to aged/almost bald all-season tires, I decided to make the switch to winter tires.14 day forecast calls for average of 5C (41F).

This is my first time driving on winter tires. Mixed feelings so far. Too much grip in corners, but much more confident in rain at high speed. I lost a lot of steering feel going from 16" stock alloy to 15" steel wheels, and the tire noise is slightly more on the highway.

Thanks. I simply masked off and painted the center with chrome paint. I wanted to do something different other than keep them black or put hubcaps, and was after that "cop car" look. I like the look, and it gets noticed a lot.

That's cool. I think if you're into photography a lot the first investment should be a half decent camera. Then hit up YouTube for tutorials to learn the basics, like aperture, ISO, exposure, shutter speed, focal length, etc. Having a willing subject (ehm your car...or flowers) and decent lighting make for good practice.

That's what I did last year, I bought a Canon T5i and am still learning. Except I'm more into videography/ cinematography than photography as you've probably seen my YouTube page.

The stock alternator is 80 amps. The one from the 01 highlander is 130. Some of the eBay ones I've seen go from 160 amps to 200+ amps. I bought this one because I didn't want to go overkill. If I still need more power, I can take it somewhere and have them boost it to 200 amps.

That's cool man. Did you put a lot of watts in your trunk and did you remember to do the big 3 upgrade? I don't know if I want one 12 or 2.....whatever I decide, I'm making the box facing forward and flush against the back seats

I haven't got everything installed yet, however, I have done the big 3. I have two alpine type r 12s to put in, which I'm going to build a custom box for. Each 12 will be powered by a jl 750.1 Hd amplifier. I'm looking at about 1500watts.

Replaced dogbone mount with an OEM part. Let's just say I got my money's worth out of the old one at 210,610 miles.
